Atatürk House and Museum (Havza)

“Mesudiye Hotel” that is supposed to be built in the beginning of 1900s was assigned to Mustafa Kemal as an headquarter. The room that was used by him between May 25- June 13 1919 has been saved with the objects in it and opened to visit as “Gazi Room” .

The building was used as Fire Station’s Directorate for a limited time. The first floor has been designed as a place in which handicrafts are exhibited. In the second floor; working room of Atatürk, living room and bedroom and Havza room have been reorganized by the objects of that period. At the third floor; Amasya, Sivas, Erzurum and Ankara rooms have been devoted to the cities in which the National Struggle was planned. The works of that term hav been reflected by the photographs and written documents. Moreover, folkloric and ethnographic objects are also exhibited in two different floors. The currently exhibited mummy of Atatürk attracts the interests of local and international tourists.
