Ankara, Taipei Economic and Cultural Mission Secretary Visited OMU International Relations Office to Discuss Taiwan–Türkiye Cooperation

Mr. Hasan Chih-tang CHANG, Secretary of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Mission in Ankara, visited our office to explore new opportunities for strengthening academic and cultural cooperation between Taiwan and Türkiye.

The meeting included discussions on potential collaborations such as student and staff exchanges, as well as organizing a Turkish language summer school at our university’s TÖMER (Turkish Teaching Application and Research Center) specifically for Taiwanese students.

The meeting was attended by Assist. Prof. Dr. Ahmet AYCAN, Deputy Head of the International Relations Office and International Collaboration Coordinator ; Assist. Prof. Dr. Olcay BAYRAKTAR, International Student Coordinator; and Ms. Betül YILDIRIM, responsible for Erasmus+ Inbound Mobility. Also in attendance were Lecturer Murat MURATOĞLU and Lecturer Vildan ÖNCÜL from the Turkish Teaching Application and Research Center.

This visit marked a valuable step toward enhancing academic and cultural ties between Taiwan and Türkiye.
