Representatives from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) recently came together to further expand their existing collaboration, which began during the Higher Education Internationalization Conference.
The meeting included Prof. Dr. Fahrul Huyop and Mohd Firdaus Abdul-Wahab from UTM, and Dr. Yılmaz Kaya from OMU's Faculty of Agriculture, along with Prof. Dr. Mustafa Said Kurşunoğlu, Head of the International Relations Office, Dr. Ahmet Aycan, Deputy Head and Coordinator for International Bilateral Collaborations, and Betül Yıldırım, staff member from the International Relations Office. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in areas such as the Satellite Lab project, student mobility, academic staff exchange, and joint research initiatives. Both universities emphasized the importance of exploring opportunities for internationalization and conducting collaborative research to address global challenges.
At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed to plan various projects and activities to take the partnership to the next level. This meeting was seen as a significant step forward in line with OMU’s internationalization strategy.
