Throughout July 2026, Ondokuz Mayıs University hosted teaching and staff training mobilities as well as short-term doctoral traineeships under the Erasmus+ KA171 Programme. Within the framework of the programme, a total of 28 academic and administrative staff members and 8 short-term doctoral students from partner universities in Sudan, Uganda, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina participated in educational and academic activities at our university.
During their visit, participants explored various academic units, including the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine, Agriculture, and Education. They also visited administrative units such as the Technology Transfer Office (TTO), the Accreditation Unit, and the International Relations Office, where they received detailed information about the University's educational activities, research infrastructure, quality assurance practices, and internationalisation initiatives.
Throughout the programme, partner universities introduced their institutions and exchanged information on their academic structures and international activities. Meetings focused on evaluating existing Erasmus+ collaborations, expanding student and staff mobility opportunities, and exploring new possibilities for joint research projects and future academic cooperation. The short-term doctoral students also carried out research activities within their host academic units, gaining valuable international research experience.
