Academic and Health Cooperation Deepens Between OMU and Uzbekistan

Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) Rector Prof. Dr. Fatma Aydın, accompanied by a university delegation, conducted a series of visits in Bukhara, Uzbekistan.

Academic collaboration meetings

During the visit, meetings were held with Vice Rectors of the Bukhara Abu Ali Ibn Sina State Medical Institute, Jarilkasinova Gaukhar Januzakovna and Niyazov Laziz Nurhonovich, as well as Bukhara State University Vice Rector Juraev Abror Turobovich. The parties exchanged ideas on academic cooperation, joint projects, and exchange programs.

Protocol signed

Following the meetings, a cooperation protocol was signed between OMU and the Bukhara Abu Ali Ibn Sina State Medical Institute. The protocol covers collaboration in the fields of education, research, and healthcare.

Visits to hospitals and departments

After the signing ceremony, Rector Aydın visited the institute’s affiliated hospitals and departments, where she received information from the officials about ongoing activities and infrastructure.

This visit is expected to contribute significantly to strengthening academic ties between Türkiye and Uzbekistan.
